February 9, 2026 – The Children’s Museum of Illinois will host its annual Mardi Gras at the Museum celebration on Fat Tuesday, February 17.
The 21-and-older event will take place from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the museum, located at 55 S. Country Club Road in Decatur. Organizers say the museum will be transformed to reflect the atmosphere of New Orleans, featuring food, beer and wine, live music from the Sidewalk Stompers, games, raffles, and traditional Mardi Gras beads.
Tickets are priced at $80 per person, $150 per pair, or $420 for a table of six. Proceeds from the event will support the museum’s continued growth, including Angel Memberships, accessible educational programming, and updates to museum exhibits.
