February 22, 2026 – The Decatur Regional Chamber of Commerce will host a candidate forum titled “Dine & Decide” on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, offering voters an opportunity to hear directly from candidates seeking office in the 2026 Primary Election.

The event will take place at The Hall at 520, located at 520 E. North Street in Decatur. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., with lunch served at 11:45 a.m. The program is scheduled to begin at noon.

According to the Chamber, the forum is designed to connect members of the business community with candidates running for local and state offices. Candidates are expected to discuss their economic vision, legislative priorities and plans for the region, while attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions and evaluate the candidates’ understanding of business-related challenges.

Candidates invited to the event include County Board seats for Districts 1 through 5, as well as County Clerk, Sheriff and Treasurer. State-level races include Treasurer, representatives for the 13th and 15th Congressional Districts, Senate seats in the 44th, 48th and 54th Districts, and Illinois House races in the 87th, 88th, 95th, 96th and 107th Districts.

The registration fee for the event is $25. Advance registration is available online at decaturchamber.com or by calling 217-422-2200.

Chamber officials say the forum is intended to help voters make informed decisions ahead of the General Election on Nov. 3, 2026, by encouraging civic engagement and open dialogue between candidates and the community.
