Millikin University to Host Tony Award-Winning Musical Revue ‘Ain’t Misbehavin” Feb. 14

February 12, 2026 -Millikin University will present the Tony Award–winning musical revue “Ain’t Misbehavin’” on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at the Kirkland Fine Arts Center. The performance is part of the 2025–26 Kirkland Fine Arts Center Artist Series, and tickets are currently on sale.

Named after the Fats Waller song of the same name, “Ain’t Misbehavin’” is a musical tribute to the Black musicians of the 1920s and 1930s whose work helped shape the Harlem Renaissance. The revue celebrates an era defined by swing music, jazz clubs and the rise of influential composers and performers whose sound left a lasting mark on American music.

The production features five performers delivering a mix of humorous, energetic and soulful numbers, including audience favorites such as “Ain’t Misbehavin’,” “Honeysuckle Rose” and “The Joint Is Jumpin’.” The Irving Street Rep touring production is produced and directed by A. Curtis Farrow and stars Dawn Marie Driver, Tony Perry, Melvinna Rose, Ron Lucus and Famecia Ward.

Tickets range from $30 to $40, with $12 tickets available for children. Discounted tickets for seniors, veterans, Millikin faculty and staff, and Richland faculty, staff and students are available for purchase in person at the Kirkland Fine Arts Center ticket office, open Tuesday through Friday from noon to 4:30 p.m.
