March 1 2026 – Operation Enduring Support is now collecting donations for Easter care packages for deployed U.S. military personnel.
Due to Easter falling on April 5, donations and deployed military addresses are needed by March 12.
Requested items include Girl Scout cookies, puzzle and game books, playing cards, duct tape, protein and breakfast bars, Slim Jims, non-perishable crackers with cheese or peanut butter, non-perishable chicken or tuna salad snack kits with crackers, gum, individually wrapped candy, powdered drink mixes, five-blade razors, black ballpoint pens, eyeglass wipes, ChapStick, and bath sponges. No pork products, please.
Monetary donations to help cover shipping costs—now more than $31 per box—are also appreciated.
Donations may be dropped off at Grace Methodist Church, 901 North Main Street in Decatur, Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
