February 15, 2026 – Residents are invited to attend the February meeting of the Coalition of Neighborhood Organizations (CONO) on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at the Decatur Public Library.

The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Madden Room on the first floor of the library, located at 130 North Franklin Street. CONO hosts public meetings on the third Tuesday of each month. The gatherings are free, open to all residents, and typically last about one hour.

This month’s featured speaker will be Brad Allen, chief of the Decatur Police Department. Chief Allen is expected to provide updates and answer questions from community members.

CONO leaders say the organization continues to focus on neighborhood safety and engagement. Over the past two years, the group has provided security doorbell cameras to more than 125 residents through its neighborhood safety initiative. Board members are currently developing project plans for 2026, with each initiative designed to strengthen neighborhoods and support residents.

The organization’s mission is to support the formation, development, and empowerment of grassroots neighborhood groups within the city limits of Decatur. CONO works to promote collaboration, training opportunities, technical assistance, and greater civic awareness among neighborhood representatives.
