February 18, 2026 -Multi-platinum rock band Shinedown will perform at the Illinois State Fair on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2026, at the Illinois Lottery Grandstand.
Fair officials announced the concert as part of the 2026 grandstand lineup. The Illinois State Fair runs Aug. 13–23 in Springfield.
Shinedown has recorded more than 8.3 billion global streams and achieved 24 No. 1 rock hits. The band has earned 15 platinum and gold singles and has received platinum or gold certification for each of its albums. Among its best-known songs are “Second Chance,” “Simple Man,” and “Sound of Madness.” The group has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide.
Illinois Department of Agriculture Director Jerry Costello II said the band’s broad appeal and reputation for live performances make it a strong addition to the fair’s lineup. Illinois State Fair Manager Rebecca Clark said the performance is expected to be a highlight of the 2026 fair.
The band’s recent single, “A Symptom of Being Human,” from its seventh studio album Planet Zero, has generated nearly 125 million global streams and reached No. 1 at Active Rock radio, along with Top 10 placements at Alternative and Adult Contemporary formats.
Tickets for the Aug. 23 concert go on sale Friday, Feb. 19 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. Pricing is set at $60 for Tier 3, $75 for Tier 2, $85 for Tier 1, $90 for Track seating, and $140 for Blue Ribbon seating. A $30 pre-show party upgrade will also be available for purchase.
