March 15, 2026— The Coalition of Neighborhood Organizations (CONO) will hold its monthly public meeting Tuesday, March 17, beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Madden Room on the first floor of the Decatur Public Library.

The organization hosts meetings on the third Tuesday of each month and invites residents to attend. The meetings typically last about one hour and are open to the public at no cost.

The March meeting will feature guest speaker Darsonya Switzer, CEO of Dove, Inc.. Switzer will discuss the range of services the organization provides to the community.

Switzer began her career with Dove in 2009 but has worked with the Dove–Homeward Bound Program and the Macon County Continuum of Care for more than 20 years. She started in 1999 as a case manager through a collaborative funding effort involving the Decatur–Macon County Opportunities Corporation, now known as the Empowerment Opportunity Center, Dove Inc., and the Continuum of Care. Switzer currently serves as chair of the Continuum of Care and sits on several boards and committees.

Organizers say residents are welcome to attend even if they do not belong to an organized neighborhood. CONO supports several community initiatives, including National Night Out, Little Free Libraries, neighborhood gardens and other neighborhood activities.
