April 30, 2026 -Residents in central Illinois will have two opportunities to donate blood in early May, as ImpactLife partners with local organizations to support area hospitals.

The first blood drive is scheduled for Tuesday, May 5, at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur. Donations will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. inside Classroom C at the hospital, located at 2300 North Edward Street.

A second drive will take place Friday, May 8, at Warrensburg-Latham High School in Warrensburg. Hosted by the school’s National Honor Society, the event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. aboard the ImpactLife Donor Bus at 425 North Street.

Appointments are encouraged for both events. Donors must be at least 17 years old—or 16 with parental consent—meet minimum weight requirements, and present a valid photo ID. The donation process typically takes less than an hour and helps provide critical blood supplies to hospitals across the region.

Officials say these drives play an important role in maintaining a steady blood supply, especially as seasonal donations can fluctuate. Donors who participate will also receive a reward of their choice, including gift cards, charitable donations, or points through ImpactLife’s donor program.
