May 7, 2026 – Employees from ADM joined forces with Girls on the Run of Central Illinois Thursday afternoon for a 5K run and walk fundraiser aimed at empowering young girls through mentorship and leadership development.

The second annual event, hosted by ADM’s North America Women’s Employee Resource Group, took place at Fairview Park Pavilion and brought together about 60 in-person participants, along with another 20 virtual participants from across North America.

Organizers say the event not only promotes wellness and camaraderie among employees, but also raises funds to ensure girls from all financial backgrounds can participate in Girls on the Run programs.

“This is huge for us,” said Jennifer Sublet, Executive director for Girls on the Run of Central Illinois. “We provide scholarships and financial assistance to any girl who needs it, so outside fundraisers like this with ADM help make sure every girl can participate regardless of financial background.”

Girls on the Run is an after-school program serving girls in third through eighth grade, focusing on self-confidence, teamwork, friendships, and healthy living while training participants for a 5K at the end of the season.

Nicole Morrissey, Sales Manager of National Accounts with the ADM Bio Solutions Team said the partnership aligns closely with the mission of ADM’s Women’s Employee Resource Group.

“We’re really excited to host our second annual Girls on the Run event,” Morrissey said. “It’s a great way to bring colleagues together while supporting a cause focused on empowering young girls to fulfill their limitless potential.”

Girls on the Run says they are looking to expand locally and encourage schools, teachers, and families interested in starting a chapter to reach out.
