May 18, 2026 – St. Teresa High School has announced that Bryan Kenney will serve as the school’s next assistant principal and athletic director beginning with the 2026–2027 school year.

Kenney, a Decatur native and St. Teresa alumnus, will succeed Tom Noonan, who was recently named head men’s basketball coach at Millikin University.

Kenney brings experience in both education and athletics. He currently serves as principal at Holy Family School, a role he has held since 2022. He previously taught at Our Lady of Lourdes School and Johns Hill School and earned advanced degrees in elementary education and educational leadership. His background also includes prior service as athletic director at Our Lady of Lourdes.

In addition to his administrative experience, Kenney has been involved with St. Teresa athletics for more than a decade, serving on the football coaching staff since 2013 and currently leading the school’s track program.

In a statement, Kenney said he is honored to return to St. Teresa in an expanded leadership role and looks forward to serving students, faculty, and coaches.

St. Teresa Principal Matt Snyder said Kenney’s experience and long-standing connection to the school community make him well-suited for the position.
