May 26, 2026 – The Village of Forsyth has announced plans for the renovation of the Forsyth Veterans Memorial, located at 740 W. Forsyth Parkway.
Forsyth officials say the renovation project will preserve the legacy of the existing memorial while creating an enhanced space for reflection, remembrance, ceremonies, and future generations. Planned improvements include military branch monuments, enhanced walkways and gathering spaces, restored flagpoles, relocated engraved pavers, landscaping improvements, seating areas, and additional memorial features.
“This project is about honoring service, preserving history, and creating a place where families, veterans, and visitors can gather in remembrance and gratitude,” said Village Administrator Jill Applebee. “We are excited to provide opportunities for individuals, families, organizations, and businesses to be part of this lasting tribute.”
The Village is inviting community members, organizations, businesses, veterans groups, and supporters from throughout the region to support the project through commemorative brick purchases, sponsorship opportunities, and donations.
Supporters can purchase commemorative engraved bricks for $100 each. Bricks may honor veterans, active military members, loved ones, organizations, or messages of appreciation. Existing engraved bricks currently located at the memorial will be incorporated into the renovated design.
The deadline to order commemorative bricks is July 1.
Several sponsorship levels are available for businesses and organizations wishing to support the memorial renovation project:
• Legacy Sponsor — $5,000
• Patriot Sponsor — $2,500
• Community Sponsor — $1,000
Sponsors will be recognized on a supporting sign near the memorial and through Village communications and event materials.
The Village anticipates celebrating the completed memorial renovation during the Veterans Day Ceremony on November 11.
