September 23, 2026 – Early voting for the November 3rd General Election begins Thursday, September 24th, in Macon County.
The Macon County Early Voting Center, at 151 West Wood Street in Decatur, will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, September 24th and 25th.
Early voting will continue weekdays through October, with expanded evening and weekend hours beginning later in the month. The center will be open until 7 p.m. October 26th through 30th and again on November 2nd. Weekend hours also will be available October 24th and 25th, October 31st, and November 1st.

The county says vote-by-mail ballots will begin going out September 24th. Ballots can be returned through the mail or placed in the ballot drop box on the south side of the Macon County Office Building at 141 South Main Street.
