August 6, 2021 -Even if you don’t consider yourself an “artist,” you can learn how to start a visual diary of things you observe in your everyday life through the practice of “art journaling.” At each meeting of the Decatur Area Arts Council’s new “Art Journaling Club,” instructors Connie Brewster and Jennifer Stout will walk you through different styles, techniques, and media to record reflections on the world around you in as simple or detailed way as you choose.
“If you have pencil and paper, you can do this,” says DAAC Education Coordinator Connie Brewster. “If you are looking to declutter your brain, improve your focus, and soothe your soul, this club is for you.”
During Fall 2021, the Club will meet:
- 2nd and 4th Tuesdays
- September 21 – November 9
- 6-7:30 pm
- 2nd Floor Barnett Art Studio
You can join the Art Journaling Club on a drop-in basis ($3.00 per visit) or as a regular attendee as a benefit for being a member of the Decatur Area Arts Council ($35 per year).
