December 2, 2021 – Yesterday, the Decatur Regional Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting to celebrate one year of progress in the renovations at Lincoln Square Theater.
“Another Decatur treasure resurrected, another generation can enjoy the memories,” said City Councilman Ed Culp while speaking at the ribbon-cutting on Wednesday evening.
The current goal is to showcase movies and live entertainment during fall to spring, with a break in the summer. The first event to take place in the newly renovated space is scheduled for Saturday.
After the ribbon-cutting, the public was welcomed to a tour that showcased over a year of work on the remodel. Below is a photo gallery of the inside of the theater.
