March 8, 2022 – The MacArthur High School FFA Color Run will be March 12th, from 11 am-1 pm at Fairview Park. Participants can come at any time during that time frame as well as leave whenever they want to.
Admission to get in is $10 for adults, $5 for students and seniors. White t-shirts will also be provided upon entry. They will be taking cash or card day of the event. This is a fundraiser, so all proceeds will go directly to their FFA program and future events.
The color run/walk is 3 miles long and is set up in mile increments, so participants can walk the full thing or stop at the mile markers and turn around. In full, it will be 6 miles there and back participants can walk as little or as much as they want.
“We are very excited for this event,” said Josie Bethard of the Dwayne Andreas Ag Academy. “It is open to the public and we encourage everyone to bring a friend.”
At each mile marker, there will be a table set up where there will be volunteers who throw colored chalk powder at the runners/walkers. Anyone can opt-out of this if they do not want to be chalked. There will also be water and Gatorade at each table as well. Plan for it to be a little chilly, organizers are recommending that participants bundle up and they can wear the provided t-shirt over their clothes.
