August 17, 2020 – The City of Decatur will host a Community Blood Drive on Wednesday, August 28th at the Decatur Civic Center from 8 a.m .to 2 p.m. inside of a Bloodmobile.  The COVID-19 pandemic has created blood shortages in the United States, with fewer donations being made due to the concern of being out in the community.

All presenting donors will receive a voucher for a $10 gift card.  If you would like to donate by appointment, please contact the Blood Center at 217-367-2202 or visiting www.bloodcenter.org for more details.

Donor Eligibility Criteria: Potential donors must be at least 17 years of age and weigh more than 110 pounds.  A photo I.D. is necessary to donate.  If you have questions about eligibility, please call the Community Blood Services of Illinois at (800) 217-4483. Donors who last gave blood on or before 7/1/20 are eligible to give at this drive.
