August 19, 2020 – Starting tomorrow (Thursday), residents of Macon County can take advantage of free drive up COVID-19 testing.
Tomorrow through the 25th, the Macon County Health Department will be conducting testing in the Civic Center Parking lot from 8am to 4pm each day. No appointment is necessary.
The tests performed are a nasal swab test and will take approximately a week to receive results. The Health Department is asking that people do not call for test results. Someone will contact you within approximately a week.
The tests are free, however, all participants must be wearing a mask and must provide a phone number in order to be tested. You can receive a rest even if you are not experiencing symptoms.
