August 29, 2020 – Rock Springs Nature Center will hold two themed Mini Camps in September for children ages 1-5.  Children and one adult buddy are invited to Fluttering Wings and Hats off to Acorns, which are camps that provide opportunities for young children to learn about nature with other children.

Fluttering Wings will be held Wednesday, September 9th, and Thursday, September 10th from 9:30-10:30 a.m.  This camp will explore the world of butterflies and children will take nets outside to hunt for butterflies.  Hats off to Acorns will be held Tuesday, September 22nd, and Wednesday, September 23rd from 9:30-10:30 a.m.  Campers in this activity will observe how nature prepares for winter by creating seeds, such as acorns.

Each camp will cost $6 per child and space will be limited.  Campers must pre-register online at MaconCountyConservation.org by noon the day before the camp begins.  Face coverings are required and social distancing will be observed.  Due to the pandemic, campers should only be accompanied by one adult.
