June 13, 2022 – The American Red Cross is holding a Community Day event in Decatur on Saturday, June 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the American Red Cross Office on North Main Street.
They plan to share information about their mission, programs and volunteer opportunities. Games and fun activities will be set up for the kids, and you can find the volunteers cooking hot dogs and brats on the grill.“We are excited to see you at this event,” said Dawn Morris, executive director of the Red Cross South Central Illinois chapter. “Come join us for some food and fellowship, and learn a little more about what the Red Cross does and how you can get involved.”Whether you are interested in volunteering for the Red Cross, looking for a free and enjoyable weekend family activity or just hoping to learn a little more about your community and what the Red Cross does before, during and after emergencies in Macon County, you are invited to this community event.
