June 14, 2022- Due to increased violence against the LGBTQIA community in Decatur, a rally has been scheduled for June 17th from 12:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. at the Macon County Courthouse (253 E Wood St, Decatur, IL).
LGBTQIA community leaders and organizations have organized this event to provide support to the latest victim of a LGBTQIA and racially motivated hate crime.
The event will take place in front of the courthouse to rally against anti-Black and anti-Trans violence in our communities and will feature an open mic for speakers, performers, and musicians.
Attendees are encouraged to bring signs, flags, and their voices to lift up the LGBTQIA community in this sensitive time.
