All activities are free, and open to all ages. No registration required.

From 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., all ages are invited to tour Homestead Prairie Farm and its heirloom vegetable and herb gardens. Master Gardener volunteers from the University of Illinois Extension will be there to answer questions about the heirloom gardens and gardening.

The Rock Springs Dulcimer Club will take the stage at 2:00 p.m. Childrens’ toys from the 1800s will be available for anyone to try.

Picnic lunches are welcome. Shaded tables and benches are provided, or you may bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket to spread out on the lawn under the trees. All of the activities take place rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, we’ll move the concert to the auditorium located inside the Rock Springs Nature Center.
