October 1, 2020 -Decatur Trades & Labor Assembly, which represents more than 13,000 union members and retirees in Macon County, has announced Lamarcus Williams as their newly-elected president. Williams is currently the president of the United Steel Workers Local 193G employe at Fuyao Glass. Williams is an active union member and had previously served Decatur Trades & Labor Assembly as a delegate and as a member of their executive board. Williams’ term will begin on October 22nd when he will take over for Bill Francisco, who has served two four-year terms as president.
“I have full confidence in Lamarcus Williams as our president and wish him continued success with the organization”, stated Francisco. “Macon County has great union density and we need active, engaged leadership to strengthen the labor movement. Lamarcus is the man for the job.”
