November 21, 2022 – Matthew Beck announced his retirement on Monday, November 21, and plans to sell his business, BeckTech, a Barbeck Company, to his son-in-law, Brit Miller. This will be effective on Wednesday, November 23.
Beck has spent the last 46 years in the radio communications and industry and has thrived as the owner of his own business for the past 26 years. He plans to serve as a consultant and advisor to Miller’s team over the next two years as they all transition into their new roles.
On his retirement, Beck said, “I have seen many of my business colleagues retire over the years and I too look forward to spending more time enjoying life, traveling, watching, and participating in our grandchildren’s growth, playing more golf, boating, and volunteering where possible. At 67 years of age, it is time.”
