December 1, 2022 – Springfield Ballet Company will be debuting its first Nutcracker performance as a professional ballet company at the Decatur Civic Center Theater on December 3 & 4, with performances in Springfield to follow on December 10 and 11.
The Decatur Civic Center will hold performances on December 3 at 2:00 and 7:00 p.m. On December 4, the show will begin at 2:00 p.m. To purchase tickets, click here to visit their website.
“The Nutcracker is one of the most recognizable ballets in the world,” said Executive Director, Scott Raper. “We are thrilled to elevate it to a professional level in our community.”
The company has hired nine professional dancers from all over the United States, along with six leading dancers from the Philippines where Artistic Director Adam Sage served as Associate Artistic Director for Ballet Philippines for four years.
