February 11, 2023- Families attended Argenta’s 7th annual IceFest.
The event was free and open to the public.
Families walked through downtown Argenta and Prairie Park to view an arrangement of several ice sculptures and live carving demonstrations.
The event started in 2017 and at the time featured over 25 ice sculptures. Today, almost 75 sculptures can be viewed at the event.
All the sculptures are carved by Argenta Native, Olympic Gold Medalist Ice Carver, Aaric Kendall as well as other artists. Kendall is the owner of DoubleĀ A Carving Co.
In addition to viewing ice sculptures, families took part in ice activities and games, such as mini golf, corn hole, and slides for kids. Food vendors were present as well.
There was also a 50/50 drawing and a vendor fair at Argenta-Oreana High School.
