May 31, 2022 – Kyle May of Fleet Feet Decatur and Cole Daniels of Spin City joined Byers & Co for their weekly Ride and Run Segment. They recapped the Memorial Day ride and runs as well as previewed upcoming events for the summer. Listen to the podcast now!

UPCOMING EVENTS for Fleet Feet:

Yoga Every Sunday Continuing through the end of June The Big Run Info June 1– Lindsey the Ladysmith attending. Custom stamps keychains and jewelry on site. 5pm-8pm

June 2nd at 6:15 p.m. Learn more about their upcoming Summer Training Programs at Fleet Feet. They will be hosting two programs this summer. – 5K Intermediate Training program is open to all levels of runners and walkers and will graduate at the Run United 5K in August.
-Full Marathon training program is designed to help experienced runners train strong and cross the marathon finishline. This training is geared for runners who are looking to participate in either the Chicago Marathon in October or another fall marathon.

Sat June 4th at 8am is the Moweaqua Pow Wow 5k Run/Walk.
Saturday June 18th is the Forsyth Family Fest kid run, walk and 5K.The Forsyth Family Fest Race has an event for everyone! The Kids Run is an untimed out and back 1/2 mile fun race for kids 10 and under. The 1 mile run/walk is also an untimed, out and back race entirely on sidewalks. The 5K is chip timed, and the loop course runs on sidewalks and a bike/walk path through Forsyth parks.

UPCOMING EVENTS for Spin City:

June 5th there is a big ride in Springfield.  The Monster Metric, it’s a metric century or 62 miles starting at 8am from Ball Elementary School in Chatham.  $20 per person, proceeds benefit Titan Fuel and a charity that’s TBD.
June 11th is Loop Lake Shelbyville.  They have multiple route options ranging from 22 miles to 65 miles.  The 48 & 65 mile routes will get a ferry boat ride across the lake.  $35 per person includes food, tshirt and water/snacks.
June 18th is the second ride in the Sangamon Cycling Series.  Ride leaving Rochester Community Park, 4 distance options, 25, 40, 60 and 100 miles.  This is a really cool series of 4 rides that lead up to the Capital City Century in September.  Check out Springfield Bicycle Club for more details.
June 25th is Tour Dewitt, beginning and ending in Clinton.  Multiple routes ranging from 22 to 62 miles around Dewitt County.  $25 per person, includes food, t shirt and water/snacks.  Proceeds will help fund Macon County CASA.
