Our February Y103 Teacher Of The Month Presented by Corley Family Dental and Glenda Williamson Realty was an emotional one! Mrs Warnick, Meridian High School FCS Teacher was SO touched by her heartfelt nomination. The nomination made at y103decatur.com said: “Katie is an amazing asset to Meridian. She is often overlooked and doesn’t get the credit she deserves. She is our Foods and Consumer Science teacher. As well as the club organizer for FCS (Fun Community Service). In her spare time she runs a MicroGreens side business with her family. Her students love her. They confide in her and she enjoys them just as much. Katie always has a smile and a kind word for the day. Even though Katie is not your “Core Subject” teacher, she holds an important role in our children’s lives!” Mrs Warnick immediately burst into tears as we presented her with her prize pack, beautiful plant, and custom balloons from the Party Shop. Even though the class was about to take a quiz, they still clapped and cheered and hugged her and even posed for a picture!
