Wake up! It’s time to surprise of October Teacher of the Month at Bond Primary School in Assumption! Turns out, today is Pajama Day but there were no sleepy heads as we came in to surprise Mrs Kaitlin Villanueva.
1st grade teacher Mrs V was nominated 27 times by her students’ families, coworkers, and friends. Here’s what some of them had to say:
“Mrs. Villanueva’s level of dedication and hard work for the kids is unheard of. She is in her 3rd year of teaching. She recently created an entire behavior curriculum for the whole elementary. She is also the middle school girls track coach, and high school cheer coach. She is so invested into the education of her students. She always goes above and beyond to provide them with things that will improve their learning skills in a fun way. Very deserving of this award!”
“She always puts her student/school first! She goes in above and beyond to take care of her students. She also is a coach, and every time she is at a game/meet she always says hi and checks in on her current/previous students. She goes out of her way to say hello and make sure everyone has what they need. She is also always involved in the community! She loves the community and kids so much that she also has a business that does paint classes outside of school! She keeps the classroom fun and she is an amazing teacher!”
You could feel the love all throughout the halls as each and every student from the other classrooms lined up to chant “MRS V!” in their pajamas. Congratulations to our new friend Mrs V for winning Teacher of the Month for October 2023!
