September 29, 2026 – Boo at the Zoo returns to Scovill Zoo this October, giving families several chances to celebrate Halloween with trick-or-treating, costumes and plenty of decorations.
The event is scheduled for October 16th and 17th, October 22nd through the 24th, and October 29th through Halloween on October 31st.
Children can trick-or-treat throughout the zoo, and costumes are encouraged. The event also includes Halloween decorations, along with carousel rides and the Z.O. & O. Express train, available for an additional charge.
Regular 2026 zoo admission is $10 for adults, $8 for children ages 2 through 12, and $9 for seniors 65 and older. Children age one and under get in free. Train rides and carousel rides are separate from admission.
Boo at the Zoo is held at Scovill Zoo at 71 South Country Club Road in Decatur.
