URGENT Deadline For Businesses To Apply For New Small Business Grant

January 4, 2021 – The City of Decatur is now accepting applications for the Decatur Small Business Rapid Relief Funds. The City has been awarded $1.2 Million from the DCEO CURE-ES program to provide to our small businesses and hospitality industry. The applications will be accepted until 3:00 pm on January 6, 2021.

Funds for this grant requires rapid payments. As of now, all funds must be disbursed by January 30, 2021. Businesses with eligible expenses incurred between March 2020 and December 2020 are encouraged to apply, for resources that are available as outlined below:

  • Utility assistance to hotels/motels
  • Reimbursement of PPE supplies to local businesses
  • Outfitting of parklets (outdoor dining expenses)
  • Mortgage expenses for local businesses
  • Utility expenses for local businesses

Hotels/motels, along with bars and restaurants, as well as other small businesses are encouraged to apply immediately online for this grant opportunity to help alleviate the financial constraint that COVID-19 has had on their businesses.

If your business received Payment Protection Program (PPP) or Business Interruption Grant (BIG) program money, you are eligible for the City’s funds if you meet the other requirements. This is a change from the initial rules. Note: Qualifying expenses previously covered by the PPP period are not eligible.
