DECATUR – Visitors to the Children’s Museum of Illinois will now see a new splash of color thanks to a stairwell mural created by local artist Phil Murillo.
The mural, located near the museum’s “grocery store” exhibit, highlights popular Decatur landmarks.
Funding for the mural was provided through a grant from the Amherst Hardy Foundation.
Murillo officially signed the piece during an unveiling ceremony on Monday.
