September 7, 2025 – The City of Decatur has announced the official full launch of Decatur Moves, the city’s micro-transit program on Monday. This service will now be available throughout all of Macon County.
From September 8 through October 8, 2025, riders can use promo code FREE5 in the Decatur Moves app to receive five free rides within Macon County.
“This is truly a ride-share service designed for all walks of life,” said Lacie Elzy, Director of Economic & Community Development for the City of Decatur. “Whether you live in downtown Decatur, a nearby neighborhood, or one of our rural communities, Decatur Moves connects you to work, school, medical appointments, shopping, and more. It’s an extension of our fixed-route bus service, offering flexibility and convenience to make transportation accessible to everyone in Macon County.”
The Decatur Moves app allows riders to book trips in real-time and be matched with others heading in the same direction. Vans are fully accessible.
The Decatur Moves app is available from the App Store or Google Play.
