October 1, 2025- Dove, Inc.’s Domestic Violence Program has announced a series of Candlelighting Services to be held across Central Illinois during October in observance of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
The annual events are intended to honor victims who have lost their lives to domestic violence, support survivors, and recognize the efforts of advocates working to promote safe homes and communities.
Services will be held at the following times and locations:
- Shelby County
Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.
First Assembly of God, 108 S. Oak St., Shelbyville
- Macon County
Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.
First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 250 W. Decatur St., Decatur
- DeWitt County
Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 6:30 p.m.
First Church of the Nazarene, 1220 Kleemann Dr., Clinton
- Moultrie County
Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.
First Christian Church, 1357 County Road 1200 E, Sullivan
Each event is open to the public. Dove encourages community members to attend as a show of support for those affected by domestic violence and to help raise awareness about the impact it has on individuals, families, and communities.
