December 7, 2025 – Historian Mark Sorenson will give a special presentation on 150 years of the Decatur Library on Saturday December 13th
For a century and a half, Decatur Public Library has stood as a cornerstone of the community. The Decatur Public Libarary says this presentation traces their journey through fifteen decades of service, innovation, and dedication to public access to knowledge.
Mark Sorensen, will deliver a presentation exploring the milestones that have shaped the library’s legacy: from the founders who envisioned a place where all citizens could access books and learning, through the expansion of the library collections and facilities, and more. The program will be held in the Madden Auditorium from 1pm to 3pm.
Light refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the public.
