October 18, 2026 – The Brass Horn, a men’s clothing retailer based in downtown Decatur, plans to open a second location in Champaign in Spring 2027.
The new store will be located at 1107 Windsor Road and expand the independently owned business’s presence in the Champaign-Urbana market.
Founded by George Streckfuss in 1990, The Brass Horn originally operated in Brettwood Village before moving to downtown Decatur in 1993. The business has been serving customers in Central Illinois for more than 36 years.
The Champaign location will offer men’s casual and tailored clothing, including apparel for everyday wear, golf, business and special occasions. The retailer carries brands such as Peter Millar, Johnnie-O, Mizzen+Main and Jack Victor. Services include custom suits, sport coats and dress shirts.
Co-owner Ryan Spurlock said customers from the Champaign-Urbana area have traveled to the Decatur store for years, making the new location a natural expansion for the business.
The original Brass Horn store will remain open at 108 East Prairie Street in downtown Decatur.
Additional details about the Champaign store’s opening date, hours and grand-opening events are expected to be announced as Spring 2027 approaches.
