March 15, 2022 – Richland Community College will hold a Culinary Scholarship Dinner Saturday, March 26. The event will include a “Bash in the Box” to all those with purchased tickets, as well as a 6-course “Bash in the Bistro”, which will be limited to 40 seats sold.

All proceeds from the dinner benefit Richland culinary arts students. Since its creation in 2009, the dinner has raised $400,000 to support the Richland Culinary Arts Institute.

The Bash in the Bistro, hosted by Joe and Kathy Brown and Beth and Alan Frigy, is a limited-seating event with tickets selling for $200 per person.

The Standard Bash Box, which is $125 and serves 2, includes access to the cooking demonstration, a meal kit with recipe and ingredients, champagne for a toast, and other goodies from the various sponsors to make the night unforgettable. The Deluxe Bash Box, priced at $175, also includes an amuse-bouche and two bottles of wine (red and white) to complement the salad and main course.

Several sponsors help make this event possible: Regions, Decatur Memorial Hospital, Sikich, Busey, Hickory Point Bank, First Mid Bank & Trust, Refreshment Services Pepsi, and Dynagraphics.
