IHDA Announces $10 Million for Revitalization Efforts

August 26, 2020 – The Illinois Housing Development Authority has announced that $10 million dollars worth of funding has been made available in order to support affordable housing and efforts to revitalize Illinois communities.  The Strong Communities Program, which helps local government agencies with abandoned residential properties, will provide grants to counties, municipalities and land banks.  Local government agencies will be eligible for grants up to $250,000 through the Strong Communities Program, which is funded through Governor Pritzker’s Rebuild Illinois capital plan.  The application process is now open and will close at 3 p.m. on September 28th.
