May 26, 2022 – Bret Hitchings, Director, Heartland Technical Academy and Richland Community College joined Byers & Co with former students of the program to talk about what Heartland Technical Academy has to offer.
Selena Gaona-Willis, a MacArthur High School Junior, is a previous Heartland Nursing Assistant Student. Hayden Harvey is a Warransburg-Latham High School Graduate and a previous Heartland auto programs student. Kurt Callan, is a Central A&M Graduate, and a previous Heartland criminal justice student. Heartland Technical Academy is one of 24 Area Career Centers in the state of Illinois. Junior and Senior students from local high schools can take classes at HTA as part of their school day. Signing up for HTA classes is just like signing up for any other elective classes the school offers. HTA programs are on the campus of Richland Community College so they are able to offer them for Dual Credit and students have access to RCC’s facilities.
