September 3, 2020 – Today at 2 p.m. Mount Zion Chamber of Commerce President Carolyn Ridenour and Linda Harper received a check to the Mount Zion Chamber of Commerce for $1,000 from Dimond Bros. Insurance, Inc. $500 will be for their donation to the Chamber for COVID-19 relief funding. The purpose of the money is to help offset the loss of revenue during the pandemic. The other $500 is for sponsoring the Mt. Zion Chamber’s Mt. Zion Teacher and Staff Appreciation gift. The Chamber and sponsors wanted to show their appreciation of teachers and staff during the pandemic, which is an unprecedented time in education. Teachers are providing in-person, remote and blended classes to ensure kids are learning.
The sponsors of the MTZ Teacher and Staff Appreciation are Dimond Bros. Insurance LLC, Maggie Wienke Country Financial, Decatur Dental Care, Decatur Earthmover Credit Union, Land of Lincoln Credit Union, and Mt. Zion Liquor. These businesses have stepped forward to give each staff member of the Mt. Zion School district a bag of popcorn from Del’s Popcorn Shop, a Chamber ink pen, member Directory and $10 to spend at any of our Chamber member businesses for goods or services.
