November 2, 2020 – Governor Pritzker announced on Friday that he is not planning on putting another stay at home order in the works. With all 11 regions expected to be placed under increased mitigations by Wednesday, some are wondering if the state will move back to phase three.
Governor Pritzker says, “I’m not currently considering a stay at home order for the state of Illinois. Obviously, it’s something in the toolboxes of other countries that they’re moving forward with because of the rate of infection there. But, right now, I think we have pretty good mitigations within tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3. It takes a couple of weeks for the mitigations to take full effect.”
Most regions are under tier one mitigations, although region 1 is at tier two with even more strict requirements.
